How the assessments work

Modified on Fri, 18 Aug 2023 at 02:18 PM

Each assessment is designed to take 20-30 minutes (depending on the learner) and will provide intuitive results across Entry Level 1 - Level 2 for English and maths, and Entry 3 or Level 1 for Digital Functional Skills. The assessment is adaptive and built upon CENTURY’s principles of a personalised experience for each individual. As learners work through the assessment(s), CENTURY will adapt to ensure that the level of questions are suitable. We believe that this will not only prevent the learner from becoming overwhelmed, but also aid in the full completion of the assessment. All learners will complete 16-24 questions in total, dependent on their performance.

Once learners have been onboarded to CENTURY in their assessment cohorts (via CSV or Class Codewith the assessments activated, they will find their assessment(s) in their learning pathway ready to complete.

Upon completion, results will feed through to the ‘Assessments’ tab for staff to review.  These results, along with the date of completion, working-towards level and sub-level can all be downloaded from the platform for your records, alongside a certificate of completion for your learners.

Learners will need a calculator, dictionary and pen and paper to complete both assessments.
