Overview of courses
The Macmillan Snappy Sounds content consists of 8 levels of learning - starting from Foundation (Levels 1 to 4), followed by Year 1 (Levels 5 to 8). Each level has a corresponding I Read and Read to Me course.
I Read courses contain Fast Phonics nuggets that introduce learners to new phonemes and/or graphemes, as well as providing revision for all the sounds and spellings that have been covered in each level. The I Read courses also contain digital versions of decodable readers (books) that learners can use for in-class or at-home reading practice.
Read to Me courses consist of video versions of each decodable reader, with the text read aloud and highlighted as it is said. The audio speed can also be adjusted, making it a useful tool for supporting reading homework.
There is also a teachers course available, which contains all of the phonics content in one place for teachers to explore and use for lesson planning.
