What is CENTURY Labs?

CENTURY Labs is a space within CENTURY where teachers can explore new and experimental tools before they become part of the main platform.
It gives teachers and students early access to ideas we are actively testing, so we can:
- learn what works best in real learning environments
- test new ideas with teachers
- improve tools before wider release
- explore new ways to support teaching and learning
CENTURY Labs allows us to move faster, learn sooner, and build better features based on what teachers actually need. It currently includes tools such as Worksheet GENai (formerly TeacherGENie), Writing GENai (formerly CENTURY Reflect), and Maths Prep GENai.
What should I expect from Labs tools?
Labs tools are early versions of new ideas. This means:
They may change over time
Features may be added, refined, or removed
The experience may feel different from established CENTURY features
These tools are shared early so that teacher feedback can directly inform how they develop.
How are Labs tools developed?
Labs tools evolve based on:
Teacher usage
Feedback from schools
What proves genuinely useful in practice
Not every experiment will become a permanent feature. Some tools may progress into the main CENTURY platform, while others may be changed or retired.
How do I share feedback on Labs tools?
Feedback from CENTURY Labs plays a key role in shaping development.
We use it to:
Improve tools
Decide what to build next
Understand what works best for teachers and students
To share your thoughts on a Labs tool, click on the 'Give Feedback' button in CENTURY Labs. This will redirect you to a feedback form where you can share your opinions on each tool.
Frequently asked questions

Yes. Tools may change, be paused, or be removed as part of the experimentation process.
Will all Labs tools become part of CENTURY?
No. Only tools that prove valuable and effective will move beyond Labs.
Will Labs tools affect my existing work?
No. CENTURY Labs does not change:
Your existing assignments
Student progress data
Core CENTURY functionality
Labs tools are designed to complement the platform, not replace existing features.
