TeacherGENie is a new feature on CENTURY that uses the power of generative AI and CENTURY’s content to create custom worksheets. These worksheets can then be printed and used for in-class activities, homework, topic assessments, revision and more.
How to use TeacherGENie
To get started on this fantastic feature, follow the instructions below:
1. Navigate to the Teacher Dashboard, select the class you’d like to generate a worksheet for and click on the TeacherGENie tab at the top.
2. Select the course, topic and nugget for which you’d like to create a worksheet.
3. Click ‘Generate’ and a worksheet will be created! You can regenerate new questions at any time, which will prompt you to supply feedback to the team.
4. You will then be able to download the worksheet and the teacher sheet (which will include the answers) as a PDF. Alternatively, you can copy the questions to an external document.
TeacherGENie FAQs
How does TeacherGENie work?
We combined OpenAI’s models and CENTURY’s content created by expert teachers to produce accurate and useful questions on the topic of your choice.
Our Machine Learning team has been hard at work to ensure that generating brand new relevant questions is as easy as possible for teachers. Due to the nature of generative AI, you may still find the occasional error. We are constantly working to make sure you see these less and less. You can give us feedback on mistakes when regenerating any of the questions.
What can I use TeacherGENie for?
These questions can be used:
In class as a starter to assess prior knowledge
As a plenary to check learning
As part of home learning
As part of repeated practice or a revision tool in the run-up to exams
Teachers can also display the questions at the front of the classroom using the option to hide answers.
Which subjects is TeacherGENie available for?
TeacherGENie can be used to generate worksheets for:
Primary and Secondary English
Primary Science
Secondary PE
FE English
FE Digital Skills
GCSE Geography and Science are in development and will be coming to TeacherGENie very soon!
Why is TeacherGENie not available for maths?
At present, large language models (LLMs) have difficulty processing maths and therefore maths questions are error prone. We are working towards a more reliable solution so that there are fewer errors in outputs on release.
