TABLE OF CONTENTS

The Courses tab gives you a more in-depth overview of your child’s progress in a specific course.

Start by choosing a course in the drop-down menu under your child’s name.

Overall learning activity

This page displays your child’s total course progress, including:

  • How many nuggets they’ve completed

  • Their overall average score

The Learning Activity graph on the right shows you an overview of your child’s activity in this course over a specific time period, including:

  • How much time they’ve spent completing nuggets

  • The total nuggets completed

This can be time stamped so you can monitor how long they have spent working on a course on a weekly, monthly or yearly basis.

Nugget activity

In the Nugget Tracker section, you can view the results your child has achieved in their completed nuggets. Clicking on each heading in the table will enable you to filter the results according to your preference, e.g. 'Last Attempt' or ‘Best Score’.

Tip: If your child has a low score on a nugget, they can re-attempt it by going to My Courses, clicking into the right subject, and searching for the nugget to try again.

Use the search box to filter for a specific nugget. To look at more in-depth information on your child’s work, simply click on a nugget name to bring up further details on their attempts, including the time they spent on learning materials and a question-level analysis of where they answered right or wrong.

TipNuggets generally take between 5 and 15 minutes to complete. If your child is spending less time on a nugget and achieving a low score, encourage them to spend more time on the learning material before answering the questions.

Nugget recommendations

By scrolling down the Dashboard, you can identify your child’s strengths and areas for improvement based on their nugget performance. Your child’s progress is also used to generate useful Focus and Stretch recommendations that they can use to guide their revision.

Focus recommendations aim to plug gaps in your child’s knowledge and help them to improve in areas of a course they are finding difficult.

Stretch recommendations will challenge your child and expand their abilities in areas that they are doing well in.

If you do not see any recommendations, your child will need to complete more work on CENTURY before our AI can reliably assess their performance and provide learning suggestions.

Tip: The more nuggets your child completes, the more accurate CENTURY’s recommendations will become!

These suggestions are useful to identify areas in which you can further support your child, along with encouraging them to learn and revise independently.
