What are nuggets and diagnostics?

Modified on Mon, 19 Aug at 11:13 AM

A nugget is a micro-lesson followed by questions. The data and results from these nuggets then helps to personalise your Recommended Path and to provide learning recommendations in your Dashboard.

There are two types of nuggets:

1) A diagnostic quiz doesn’t have any learning material. Instead, it’s a series of questions that aim to find out what you’re good at and where you might need a bit more practice. Your answers help CENTURY figure out what kind of recommendations to give you, so you get exactly what you need to improve.

2) A learning nugget is a mini-lesson on a topic. These contain learning material in the form of a slideshow and/or a video, followed by assessment questions to check how much you’ve learnt.

At the end of the nugget, you will see your percentage score and your completion score, which measures how much of the nugget you have looked at. You can retry the nugget to improve your score or move on to the next one.

Nuggets should take roughly 10 - 15 minutes to complete.

Note: If you’re unsure of a question in a learning nugget, you can always go back to the learning material. Just select one from the list of learning material on the right, or use the ‘CENTURY Explains’ drop-down menu to choose either the video or slideshow.
