Adding the Guardian Onboarding tab
To onboard your school’s guardians en masse, please notify your CENTURY Account Manager or support@century.tech who can enable this feature. Once enabled, users with ‘Manager’ permissions will find a new tab in Class Admin, called ‘Guardian Onboarding’.
Using Guardian Onboarding
Log in to your CENTURY account and navigate to Class Admin
Select the Guardian Onboarding tab
Select ‘Download file’. This will download a list of all students and any guardians already onboarded.
Add guardian details to be uploaded. To see a completed example file for reference, please click here. The file will be broken down as follows, the letters referring to the column headers;
Columns A to G are exported directly from CENTURY and show a comprehensive list of all onboarded students.
User ID - this is the learner's unique CENTURY ID
Student email (will appear if applicable)
Student UPN - student's unique pupil number (will appear if applicable)
Student username - student's CENTURY username (this may be their email)
Student date of birth - (dd/mm/yyyy)
Student first name
Student last name
Columns H to M are mandatory fields that need to be filled in for each learner, including the email/upn (if onboarded with), their CENTURY username, DOB, first name and last name.
When onboarding, this information is used to match the newly added data to an existing learner on the system, and also confirm the correct guardian information for each child.
Student email Ref
Student UPN Ref
Student username Ref
Student DOB Ref
Student first name
Student last name
Columns N to S are where you will be able to add guardian details. Their email, first name and last name are all required.
Guardian 1 email
Guardian 1 first name
Guardian 1 surname
Guardian 2 email
Guardian 2 first name
Guardian 2 surname
Please note:
If your learner only has one guardian, you may leave columns Q through to S blank.
If both guardians share the same email address, simply add the details for one of the guardians in columns N to P and leave columns Q-S blank.
5. Once you have filled in the required information, select ‘Upload’ and upload your completed guardian file.
6. The CENTURY team will then be notified about your file and begin processing.
Note: Upon uploading this file to the platform, we will assume this data is correct and ready for import. If any issues arise during the process, CENTURY will contact you to resolve them.
7. Once onboarded, the guardians will receive an email from CENTURY prompting them to create a password for their account. You can view the email they receive here. Guardians will then be able to log in to their accounts and view their child/children's progress on CENTURY.
